Under His Smile

There is so much we need to know about God. What is he like? Can we trust him? How can we know for sure? Unfortunately, it often feels too risky to let go of our commitment to our own plans and strategies in order to learn about God. Our need to perform feels more urgent than our need to know and trust God. So we work to improve, to impress and to succeed. But the way to genuine transformation begins by asking God to free us from the need to perform, and to open our eyes so we can see the One who earned for us the permanent smile of his Father.
